Current Solar View from SOHO
When the sun is active, sunspots will appear as dark patches.

Please take great care when observing the sun to avoid permanent blindness. Never look directly at the sun with the naked eye or though any optical instrument. Observations should be made by either projecting the sun's image on to a white card or by the use of a dedicated solar filter.
